Our Story

Exmouth School of Dance & Performing Arts was created in 2006 by professional dance and drama teacher Jane Harvey and is located at Exmouth Community College and Littleham Village Hall in Exmouth.

We teach Acrobatic Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, Street Dance and Tap for all ages. Dance is taught to the I.S.T.D syllabus (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) and Musical Theatre/Drama to the LAMDA syllabus (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).

We hold a bi-annual show for the students to hone their performance skills, regular examinations and students can also be entered for local dance festivals if they wish. At other times workshops are arranged for students to try other skills. These have included gymnastics, circus skills, singing and ballet. We have also been invited to perform at professional shows being held at the Exmouth Pavilion including the Pantomime.

Membership to the school is open to children aged 2 and upwards, and adult classes are also taught in Tap, Ballet, Contemporary & Modern.

Fees are dependant on the length of the class but all fees are paid in advance for one term (usually 12 weeks). If you would like to find out more please use the 'contact us' page.
